History

In the year 1975, the company started as a small rewinding workshop to cater the repair needs of electric motors of capacity upto 50 KW. Through continual development and efforts, today it has established itself as one of the leading manufacturer and service provider for broad range of activities.

A Glance at SAINI’s history:

Milestones:

  • 1975 – SAINI started as a small workshop to serve repair activities of electric machines of capacity upto 50 KW
  • 1990 – Started Rewinding of HT Motors of capacity upto 2 MW.
  • 1994 – Contract Manufacturing: Manufacture Sub-Assemblies of Electric Machines (Mainly Traction Motors/Alternators) to OEMs
  • 1997 – Inauguration of SAINI’s 2nd Plant at Juhinagar, New Mumbai (India).
  • 1998 – Started Rewinding Business of Rolling Stock Equipment’s (Traction Motors, Alternators, Auxiliary Motors and many more)
  • 2004 – Inauguration of SAINI’s 3rd plant with capacity to take up rewinding activities of rotating electric machines upto 50 MW
  • 2008 – Started manufacturing of Rolling stock Equipment’s.
  • 2012 – Inauguration of 4th new plant solely dedicated to manufacturing of Rolling stock Equipment’s.
